Dr Marija Skočir works as an art gallery director of two galleries at Museum and galleries of Ljubljana. She has so far curated over 30 exhibitions at the Jakopič Gallery and other venues, mainly in the field of photography, as well as fine arts. She has managed more than 80 exhibition and cultural projects, conferences, educational programmes and events, including two Slovenian pavilions at the Venice Biennale. She has (co)authored and edited numerous monographs and catalogues. In December 2021, she completed her PhD on the history of Central European photography.
