Jelena Janković has been the Programme Director of the Sarajevo Photography Festival since 2023, where she fosters dialogue and presents diverse perspectives in contemporary photography, creating opportunities for artists, curators and audiences alike. Originally from Belgrade and currently based in Zagreb, she is active throughout the Balkan region. Jelena teaches photography at Algebra University and is a member of the Space Shuttle art collective, both based in Zagreb. Also a photographer and visual artist, her work explores human nature, the nuances of relationships, movement and emotions across diverse photographic genres. Her work has been exhibited and published internationally and has received numerous awards.
