<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Aki-Pekka Sinikoski\u00a0is a dad, photographer, and author, who has studied in Kunstakademiet at Kunsth\u00f8gskolen i Bergen, Norway, and graduated as Master of Art from the Department of Media at Aalto University, Finland. He is known as a multi-faceted portrait photographer whose works have been exhibited both in Finland and internationally. His daughter, Astrid Sinikoski, is a high school student, who plays basketball, loves animals, enjoys drawing, and has a joint punk and techno band with her father.<\/p>\r\n

They have been creating New Ghosts as an artist duo since 2011, a photo series that portrays the relationship between father and daughter, and attempts to understand life and the passage of time.<\/p>\r\n

\u201cAs kids, our fears are often easy to name. We are afraid of monsters, ghosts, or, for example, a tree’s shadow reaching toward us behind the window. As we get older, our fears often get more abstract. The new amorphous anxieties create new unnamed phantoms, a sort of “new ghost” we can’t name yet\u201d \u2013 said Aki.

They have an ambitious plan: to publish New Ghosts as a whole only in 2058 when Aki<\/a> turns 80 and Astrid 50.<\/p>\r\n
